Controller

Genspect, The Steps, O'Connell Street, Birr, County Offaly, is the controller of personal data processed through this site under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation. Contact: [email protected].

The contact form

The form asks for a name, an email address, optionally a county or country, and a message. We use these to reply and for nothing else. Submissions are stored on the platform that hosts the site and forwarded by email to the Genspect team. They are deleted within twelve months of the last correspondence.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records ordinary access logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and diagnose faults. They are kept briefly and are not used to profile visitors.

YouTube

Episode pages embed the YouTube player. Pressing play sends your IP address to Google, which may set cookies under its own policy. Each episode page also carries a plain link to the video on youtube.com if you prefer not to load the player here.

What we do not do

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no sale or sharing of visitor data.

Legal basis

Replying to your message and keeping the site secure are legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of or erasure of your personal data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, Dublin. Requests to [email protected] are answered within one month.
